Marilyn Williams, LPC-S, NCC, is experienced in Texas, Louisiana, and Alabama in conducting pre-bariatric surgery psychological evaluations. She conducts both in-person and virtual visits in all three states.

She is centrally based in Lake Charles, Louisiana, affording her in-person capability in Houston, Shreveport, Baton Rouge, Montgomery, Birmingham and other areas in the region.

• Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor (LPC-S).

• National Certified Counselor (NCC).

• Master’s degrees in Counseling Psychology and Applied Behavior Analysis.

• Board-certified professional counselor.

• Board-certified PTSD clinician.

• 16-year veteran in the practice of conflict resolution.

• Has worked within her private practice to serve the needs of people within her scope of practice with DSM-5 criteria, including mental illness; PTSD/armed forces (service-related and civilian); law enforcers, firefighters and first responders; substance abuse; and addiction. She has conducted a wide range of appraisals and assessments.

• Comes from a family of physicians.

• Works regularly with physicians and their staffs to serve patients’ needs.

Marilyn is a member of the American Mental Health Counselors Association, National Board for Certified Counselors, American Counseling Association, Texas Counseling Association, Louisiana Counseling Association, and the Alabama Counseling Association.
