About Marilyn Williams
Marilyn Williams helps people who have made the choice to seek bariatric surgery. She is experienced in conducting the confidential, one-on-one evaluation that is required for a person to become eligible for the procedure.
She conducts these confidential evaluations in one of two ways:
• A personal visit with you, or
• A convenient virtual evaluation, by online connection, when health matters or leaving home or work would make an in-person visit difficult.
Williams is a seasoned evaluator. She is:
• A Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor (LPC-S) with master’s degrees in both Counseling Psychology and Applied Behavior Analysis.
• A board-certified professional counselor.
• A board-certified PTSD clinician.
• A 16-year veteran in the practice of conflict resolution.
Marilyn Williams specializes in pre-bariatric surgery psychological evaluation services in Texas, Louisiana, and Alabama, based from her office in Lake Charles, Louisiana. She has operated her private practice, Best Life Counseling and Behavior Clinic, in the same location for a decade.
She is a member of the American Mental Health Counselors Association, National Board for Certified Counselors, American Counseling Association, Texas Counseling Association, Louisiana Counseling Association, and the Alabama Counseling Association.
